The Mandate
The Torch of Liberty Media Foundation exists to defend the primary jurisdiction of the individual. We operate on a singular, unwavering principle: Government has only one legitimate mandate—the protection of individual liberty. Every day the state operates beyond this narrow cage, it fails the people it was built to serve.
The Philosophy: Minarchy & Sovereignty
We are the intellectual home for the modern Minarchist. We believe that a government’s power is not inherent; it is a temporary and revocable lease granted by sovereign individuals. When that lease is violated through overreach, bureaucracy, or “virtue-signaling” supremacy, the Torch of Liberty provides the tools for reclamation.
Our Core Initiatives
- The 9th Amendment Project (9AP): Our tactical arm. We identify and defend “Unenumerated Rights”—those infinite liberties retained by the people that the state has no authority to deny or disparage.
- The Sovereignty Journals: Our philosophical engine. A “Publius-style” publication dedicated to the rigorous defense of the self-governing individual and the dismantling of the administrative state.
- Southern Liberty: Our media outlet for the front lines. Providing unfiltered commentary on federal overreach, local victories, and the preservation of the American tradition of self-reliance.
The Vision
We do not seek to move the government “Left” or “Right.” We seek to move it out of the way. We are building a modern Committee of Correspondence—a network of sovereign citizens committed to the preservation of the Bill of Rights and the restoration of the individual as the master of the state.
